پھلدار پودوں کیلئے موزوں فاصلہ ⇐ پودوں کے درمیانی فاصلہ کا انحصار زمین کی قسم ، آب و ہوا، طریقہ افزائش نسل ، پودوں کی قسم، عمر پھیلاؤ اور بڑھنے کی عادت، کانٹ چھانٹ کا طریقہ جیسے عناصر پر ہے۔ زرخیز زمین میں زیادہ فاصلہ اور کم زرخیز میں کم فاصلہ رکھنا چاہیے۔

باغ کیلئے ذخیرہ سے پھلدار پودوں کا انتخاب

 پھلدار پودے کسی علاقہ کی مخصوص آب و ہوا کے مطابق حاصل کیے جائیں مثلا پشاور سے حاصل کردہ اعلیٰ قسم کے آڑو میدانی علاقہ میں پھل نہیں لاتے ۔ اسی طرح گرم میدانی علاقہ کے پھلدار پودے پہاڑی علاقہ میں کامیاب نہیں ہوں گے۔

Choosing Fruit Plants from Storage for the Garden

Fruit plants should be obtained according to the specific climate of an area. For example, high-quality peaches obtained from Peshawar will not bear fruit in the plains. Similarly, fruit plants from hot plains will not succeed in mountainous areas.

باغ لگانے سے چند ماہ بیشتر پودوں کا آرڈر دے دیا جائے تا کہ وقت پر پودے مہیا ہوسکیں ۔ مختلف صوبوں کے محکمہ زراعت کے ذخیروں سے پودے حاصل کرنے کے لیے درخواست درج ذیل تاریخ سے پہلے متعلقہ دفتر میں پہنچ جانی چاہیے۔

Different provinces

Orders for more plants should be placed a few months before planting the garden so that plants can be provided on time. Applications for obtaining plants from the stocks of the Department of Agriculture of different provinces should reach the relevant office before the following date.

پھلدار پودے ہمیشہ معتبر ذریعہ اور ایماندار مالک ذخیرہ سے حاصل کیے جائیں۔ اس موقعہ پر غلطی یاسستی کا ازالہ باغ کی تمام عمر کے لیے ممکن نہیں ۔ ناقص اقسام کے پودے بجائے آمدنی کے ہمیشہ کے لیے بار ثابت ہوتے ہیں ۔ بڑا باغ لگانے کے لیے ایک مفید تجویز یہ ہے کہ پہلے اعلی قسم اور نسل کے تھوڑی تھوڑی تعداد میں پھلدار پودے معتبر ذریعہ سے حاصل کیے جائیں اور پھر باغ کی توسیع کے لیے اپنے باغ میں اعلی نسل کے پھلدار پودوں کا ذخیرہ اگایا جائے ۔

Defective varieties

پودے کا قد اور پھیلاؤ اس کی عمر کے مطابق ہونا چاہیے۔

بہتر یہ ہے کہ ایک سالہ پیوندی پودے حاصل کیے جائیں۔

پودوں کا پھیلاؤ چاروں طرف برابر اور توازن صیح ہونا چاہیے۔

Plant Breeding

Always obtain plants of high and satisfactory breed. Correct knowledge of plant breed is essential. In the case of date palm, male and female plants are separate. Therefore, at the time of selecting date palm seedlings, it is better if the mother plant has borne fruit. Saving or thrifting while buying plants is a costly affair. Such thrifting is always costly and harmful in the end.

• The height and spread of the plant should be according to its age.
• It is better to obtain one-year-old grafted plants.
• The spread of the plants should be even and balanced all around.

پیوند والی جگہ

خیال رہے کہ پودا موزوں بلندی پر پیوند کیا گیا ہو اور پیوند والی جگہ (یونین) پر تندرست ہونا چاہیے۔ مالٹا کیلئے 19 انچ سے ایک فٹ اور بیر پیوند کے لیے 3 سے 4 فٹ بلندی موزوں ہے۔ زیادہ پھیلاؤ والے زیادہ موٹے تنے والے اونچے یا کمزور پودے انتخاب نہیں کرنے چاہئیں۔   پودے کسی پھپھوندی کی بیماری یا کیڑے کے حملہ سے پاک ہونے چاہئیں۔

Grafting site

Make sure that the plant is grafted at a suitable height and the grafting site (union) is healthy. For Malta, 19 inches to one foot and for Ber grafting, 3 to 4 feet is suitable. Tall or weak plants with excessive spreading or thick stems should not be selected. Plants should be free from any fungal disease or insect attack.
