کہکشاں

کہکشاں ⇐ تمام نظر آنے والے ستارے اور وہ ستارے جو دور بین سے نظر آتے ہیں کا ئنات کا صرف ایک حصہ ہیں۔ دراصل کروڑھا ستارے ایک کہکشاں بناتے ہیں۔ کائنات میں اب تک جتنی کہکشاؤں کا سراغ لگایا گیا ہے ان کی تعداد دو ارب سے زائد بتائی جاتی ہے۔

Galaxy  All the visible stars and those that can be seen through telescopes are only a part of the universe. In fact, millions of stars make up a galaxy. The number of galaxies that have been discovered in the universe so far is estimated to be more than two billion.

کائنات

ان میں شامل ہر کہکشاں میں ایک ارب سے زیادہ ستارے ہیں ۔ اب آپ خود سوچیے کہ کائنات میں کل کتنے ستارے ہوں گے؟ کہکشاں کا ہر ستارہ دوسرے ستارے سے بے اندازہ فاصلے پر ہے۔ پھر ایک کہکشاں دوسری کہکشاں سے اتنے فاصلے پر ہے کہ ہم اس کا احاطہ نہیں کر سکتے ۔

Universe

There are more than a billion stars in each galaxy. Now think for yourself how many stars there will be in the universe? Each star in the galaxy is at an immeasurable distance from another star. Then one galaxy is so far away from another galaxy that we cannot cover it.

ہماری کہکشاں

رات کے وقت دودھیا راستے کی شکل میں نظر آنے والی ہماری کہکشاں ہے

ہمارا نظام شمسی (جس میں ہماری زمین اور آٹھ دوسرے چھوٹے بڑے سیارے شامل ہیں) اس کہکشاں کا ایک معمولی سا حصہ ہے اور یہ کہکشاں نظام شمسی جیسے اربوں نظاموں پر مشتمل ہے۔

اس کہکشاں میں شامل اربوں چھوٹے بڑے ستاروں کی روشنی بے انتہاء فاصلے کی وجہ سے گڈمڈ ہو کر دودھیا راستے کی صورت میں نظر آتی ہے۔ ہماری کہکشاں طشتری نما ہے۔

Our Galaxy

• Our galaxy, visible at night in the form of the Milky Way, is our own.
• Our solar system (which includes our Earth and eight other small and large planets) is a small part of this galaxy, and this galaxy consists of billions of systems like the solar system.
• The light of the billions of small and large stars included in this galaxy is blurred due to the infinite distance and appears in the form of the Milky Way. Our galaxy is saucer-shaped.

کہکشاں کی وسعت

اس کہکشاں کی وسعت اور فاصلے کا اندازہ آپ یوں کر سکتے ہیں کہ اگر اس کے ایک کنارے سے دوسرے کنارے کے فاصلے کو ما پا جائے تو یہ قریباً ایک لاکھ نوری سال سے بھی زائد ہے۔ اس کا مطلب ہے کہ اگر ہم ایک لاکھ سالوں کے پہلے سیکنڈ بنائیں اور پھر اس کو روشنی کی رفتار ( تین لاکھ کلومیٹر فی سیکنڈ ) یعنی تین لاکھ سے ضرب دیں تو اتنے کلومیٹر کا فاصلہ ہوگا یادر ہے کہ صرف ایک نوری سال قریباً 95 کھرب کلومیٹر کے فاصلے کے برابر ہے۔

The size of the galaxy

You can estimate the size and distance of this galaxy by measuring the distance from one edge to the other, which is more than 100,000 light years. This means that if we take the first seconds of 100,000 years and then multiply it by the speed of light (300,000 kilometers per second), that is, 300,000, then the distance will be that many kilometers. Remember that just one light year is equal to a distance of approximately 9.5 trillion kilometers. 

 مجمع النجم

اس کو سردیوں کی راتوں میں افق جنوبی اور افق شمالی میں دیکھا جاسکتا ہے۔ اگر پاکستان میں رات کے وقت شمال کی طرف دیکھیں تو آپ کو ستاروں کے مختلف جھرمٹ نظر آئیں گے۔ ان میں آپ کو سات ستارے نظر آئیں گے۔ جو کہ ایک بل کی شکل میں دکھا ئیں دیں گے۔ ستاروں کا یہ جھرمٹ دب اکبر کہلاتا ہے۔ ان میں دوستارے قطبی ستارے کی جانب نشاندہی کرتے ہیں۔ ان ستاروں کی مدد سے رات کے وقت جغرافیائی سمت معلوم کر سکتے ہیں۔

Majma’-ul-Najm

It can be seen on the southern and northern horizons during winter nights. If you look north at night in Pakistan, you will see different clusters of stars. Among them, you will see seven stars. Which will appear in the form of a bowl. This cluster of stars is called the Big Dipper. Two stars in them point towards the North Star. With the help of these stars, you can find out the geographical direction at night.
