معمار قوم کا اپنے فن میں ماہر ہونا ضروری ہے  ⇐کہا جاتا ہے کہ استاد معمار قوم ہے، قوم کی تعمیر کرنا اور اس کے مستقبل کو سنوارنا اس کی ذمہ داری ہے۔ ایک معمار کیلئے جس طرح اپنے فن کے بہتر اظہار کیلئے اس فن کے اصول وضوابط سے واقف ہوتا ، متعلقہ سامان اور آلات کے استعمال میں ماہر ہونا ضروری ہے اسی طرح ایک استاد کیلئے مقاصد تعلیم، نصاب تعلیم ، اصول تدریس کے ساتھ ساتھ اپنی قوم کے نظریہ حیات ، ان کی ضروریات ، ان کے ورثہ ، مزاج اور ان کے مستقبل کے لائحہ عمل سے واقف ہونا نہایت ضروری ہے۔
